Frequently Asked Questions

Answers before you even have to ask.

Everything organisations typically want to know before working with us — our process, pricing, technology, and what happens after launch. Can't find it here? Just ask us directly.

General

TiCi Technologies is the software engineering vertical of the TiCi group. We design and build custom websites, web portals, and internal management systems — the same kind of systems our team already built and uses to run TiCi NatureLab's own operations.

TiCi NatureLab is where our engineering team started — building internal tools for lab, aquaculture, and operational management. TiCi Technologies is that same team, now offering the same engineering capability to organisations outside the TiCi group.

No. While our product suite (HRMS, finance, procurement, lab systems, etc.) grew out of TiCi NatureLab's needs, we build custom software, websites, and portals for any industry — the underlying engineering approach is the same regardless of sector.

Yes. We work with clients across South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and beyond. Our delivery process is built for remote collaboration, with clear communication and regular updates regardless of time zone.

Pricing & Payment

Pricing is based on project scope, complexity, and timeline — not a generic package. After the discovery call, we send a fixed-price proposal so you know the full cost upfront, with no hidden charges added later.

Most projects are structured in milestone-based payments tied to project stages (e.g. on signing, on design approval, on delivery), rather than one large upfront payment. Exact terms are agreed in your contract.

No. Your proposal covers the agreed scope in full. Optional ongoing costs — like hosting, third-party licenses, or a support/maintenance plan — are always disclosed separately and are entirely your choice.

Support & Maintenance

We support the launch, train your team on using the new system, and remain available for bug fixes and questions during an initial post-launch period defined in your contract.

Yes. Many clients continue with an ongoing support arrangement covering hosting management, security updates, and priority support after the initial project — entirely optional and month-to-month or annual, based on your preference.

Since you own the code, you can bring in any developer for future work — but most clients simply continue with us for new features, since we already know the system inside out. New feature requests are scoped and quoted the same way as the original project.

Technology & Security

You do — fully. Code, data, and infrastructure belong to you on handover, with no vendor lock-in. We deploy on your server or cloud account so you control access from day one.

We primarily build with PHP and MySQL on the backend, with modern HTML/CSS/JavaScript on the frontend, and can adapt to specific technology requirements or constraints your organisation already has in place.

Wherever you choose — your own server, your existing cloud account, or a hosting provider you select. We don't require you to host on infrastructure we control.

We follow standard secure development practices — password hashing, CSRF protection, input validation, and access controls — and can accommodate additional security or compliance requirements specific to your industry.

Working With Us

Start with a free consultation or request a quote from our website. We'll set up a discovery call to understand your goals and current processes, then send a detailed proposal with scope, timeline, and fixed pricing before any work begins.

It depends on scope. A standard business website usually takes 3-6 weeks; a custom portal or management system typically takes 6-14 weeks depending on complexity. Your proposal will include a specific timeline before work starts.

Yes. We work in weekly demo and feedback cycles, so you see working software regularly rather than waiting until the very end. You approve designs and user flows before development begins on each stage.

Every engagement is covered by a signed contract regardless of company size or existing relationship. We're happy to sign an NDA before any detailed discussion if your project involves sensitive information.

Yes. We regularly integrate with existing tools, accounting software, CRMs, and third-party platforms, and we can collaborate alongside your in-house team rather than replacing them.
